Sauteed Swiss Chard

Sauteed Swiss Chard
There’s no reason to be afraid of this swiss chard that’s sauteed. I love the beauty of swiss chard in the garden, but cannot stand it’s bitter taste. This simple recipe makes swiss chard an enjoyable side dish to many meals.
Sauteed Swiss Chard

Ingredients

2 bunches swiss chard
2 cloves garlic
Olive oil
1 tsp kosher salt
1 leek stalk
1/2 cup chopped mushrooms

Directions

  1. Heat olive oil in saute pan. Mince garlic and add to pan when oil is hot. Let saute for about 1 minute. Cut leek in half lengthwise, then thinly chop. Add mushrooms and leek to pan. Stir to cook evenly.
  2. Chop swiss chard, including stalks. Add to saute pan and cook until tender- about 2 minutes. When done, sprinkle with salt.

And that’s it! Super easy to make and a delicious way to enjoy your greens. Enjoy your sauteed swiss chard!
