There’s no reason to be afraid of this swiss chard that’s sauteed. I love the beauty of swiss chard in the garden, but cannot stand it’s bitter taste. This simple recipe makes swiss chard an enjoyable side dish to many meals.
2 bunches swiss chard
2 cloves garlic
1 tsp kosher salt
1 leek stalk
1/2 cup chopped mushrooms
- Heat olive oil in saute pan. Mince garlic and add to pan when oil is hot. Let saute for about 1 minute. Cut leek in half lengthwise, then thinly chop. Add mushrooms and leek to pan. Stir to cook evenly.
- Chop swiss chard, including stalks. Add to saute pan and cook until tender- about 2 minutes. When done, sprinkle with salt.
And that’s it! Super easy to make and a delicious way to enjoy your greens.
